In a country with six hours of winter daylight a museum is the plan, not the fallback. The 15 below cover the Vasa, Skansen, the Nobel Prize Museum and the rest, with entry prices and a note on which ones need a timed ticket.
Spend a full day at Skansen, Stockholm’s open-air museum, among historic homes, farmsteads, working crafts, Nordic wildlife, domestic breeds, and seasonal events. The ticket is flexible during opening hours, but food, drinks, and some attractions may cost extra. Wear sturdy shoes: the grounds are broad and hilly.

At Malmö’s Disgusting Food Museum, you’ll explore strange food displays, sniff foul odors, pose in the disgust photo booth, and sample unusual bites at the tasting bar.
